Mr. Alejandro Alcaraz is a self-made entrepreneur and investor, known for his innovative approach and strategic market insights. His expertise in private credit and real estate investments is highlighted by exceptional transactions and an impeccable track record, fostering partnerships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutional investors.
Alejandro’s entrepreneurial journey began with the creation of one of Spain’s first debt platforms in 2009, which was acquired in 2013. That same year, he founded Crandon, an independent asset manager specializing in alternative assets. In 2020, he launched the first venture studio in gastronomy, followed by the founding of Narval, a debt advisory firm, in 2022.
Under his leadership, Santomera Bay has gained recognition as a sophisticated and refined private office in Spain, distinguished by its research-driven approach and discreet operations.
Santomera Bay is led by Josep Esteva (Managing Director), bachelor´s degree in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University, former Accenture consultant and MBA from IESE. He supervises and provides strategic and operational insights to all Santomera Bay portfolio companies, their CEOs and a team of +30 professionals, and works closely with the group founder, Alejandro Alcaraz, who instills his refined instinct and leads unique partners to areas where transformation is needed, identifying game-changing opportunities.
Josep is also a chair of a number of advisory boards and executive committees from our portfolio of companies and investments. He previously acted as Managing Director at Pace Gastro, one of Santomera Bay’s portfolio companies.
